Department of Buildings Rescinds COVID Enforcement Measures

As of July 8, 2021, the NYC Department of Buildings rescinded guidance allowing enforcement of health and safety rules to stop the spread of COVID-19.
Due to changes in New York State guidelines, property owners and contractors no longer need to observe the following:
DOB Phase 1: Reopening guidance, issued more than a year ago.
BB 2020-006: How to secure construction sites that were shut down due to the pandemic.
BB 2020-010: How to reopen construction sites that were shut down due to the pandemic.
BB 2020-015: The temporary use of hotels by educational institutions as dormitories.
BB 2021-008: Determining a headcount of persons for indoor dining or other food service.
Now that New York State is reopening, you can find these bulletins on the DOB website with a "RESCINDED" stamp on the document. The bulletins no longer apply to any projects and will not be enforced.
